This Victorian walnut davenport is a charming piece, featuring a sliding top with a red leather insert adorned with gold tooling. Lifting the top reveals a mahogany interior with two small stationary drawers, complete with petite bun handles, and a compartment ideal for a laptop or tablet. A hidden drawer, accessible by pulling a bun handle on the slope, swings out to offer a pen tray and an inkwell. Each side of the sliding top section has a pull-out candle slide. The left side boasts four functional mahogany-lined drawers, while the right side mirrors this with four dummy drawers, all sporting turned bun handles. The davenport sits on a plinth base concealing four castors, presenting a stately piece of history in excellent showroom condition, suitable for home or office use.
