A fantastic Scottish mahogany longcase clock in excellent condition and full working order, having been recently serviced. The clock face is a beautifully painted with bold Roman numerals with two subsidiary dials sit neatly within the chapter ring — one for seconds and the other for the date. The hands are finely worked and delicately shaped, typical of quality Scottish longcase clocks.

The dial is signed Hendrie Ogg, Dunfermline, placing it firmly within the Fife clockmaking tradition. The spandrels are decorated with vibrant floral motifs, and the arch features an elegant painted urn overflowing with flowers,

The case is crafted in richly grained mahogany, with a trunk door decorated with delicate string inlay which opens to reveal the original hand‑painted pendulum. The base is solid and neatly moulded, grounding the clock with a confident, architectural stance.

Hendrie Ogg was a Scottish clockmaker based in Dunfermline, active in the first half of the 19th century- 1809-1850. He operated a workshop on the High Street and is listed in The Clockmakers & Watchmakers of Scotland by Donald Whyte
