A traditional Japanese kiri isho tansu chest, crafted from beautifully grained paulownia wood and designed in three stacking sections for ease of transport. The upper compartment features a pair of sliding doors fitted with circular iron hardware, opening to reveal practical storage. Below sit a series of drawers of varying sizes, each with its original iron pulls. All three sections stack securely and remain in excellent, usable condition, with age‑related marks that speak to its history without compromising structure or function. The pale, lightweight paulownia timber has developed a soft, time‑worn surface, giving the piece a warm, organic presence.
