A charming Victorian mahogany metamorphic child's high chair, designed to convert into a separate chair and table. Beautifully crafted in solid mahogany, the chair features a shaped top rail above a carved foliate splat, scroll-shaped arms and turned supports, retaining its original footrest and a comfortably upholstered seat.

The ingeniously constructed base separates to form a sturdy child's table, raised on beautifully turned legs, allowing the piece to serve both as a high chair and as a practical nursery table and chair set. The warm mahogany timber displays a rich colour and pleasing patina developed over many years.

Both decorative and functional, this delightful Victorian piece is a fine example of 19th-century nursery furniture and would make an attractive addition to a country house, period interior, or collection of antique children's furniture.

Presented in very good antique condition commensurate with age and use.
