The cabinet features finely carved blind fretwork above and below the glazed doors which have traditional astragal mouldings, creating a refined geometric pattern that highlights the quality of the workmanship. The interior back is lined with cream water‑silk fabric, which pairs beautifully with the mahogany shelf inserts. As with all genuine antique furniture, there are some imperfections — including a few marks on the fabric — which can be refreshed if desired, though they also contribute to the cabinet’s character and authenticity.
