This exceptional Victorian-era solid oak Green Man leather-top table is a magnificent example of antique craftsmanship in wonderful condition. The leather top, while displaying age-related marks (visible in the photos), adds character and charm to the piece and reflects its rich history. Though it can be replaced, the marks are an integral part of its story and appeal. The frieze is beautifully adorned with intricate carvings, featuring a striking Green Man mask at the centre, flanked by two drawers on either side. The table stands proudly on barley twist supports that terminate in elegant scroll feet, with further Green Man carvings uniting the legs via two barley twist stretchers. As with all antique furniture, minor imperfections can be expected. However, this table is a solid, highly decorative piece, characterized by its deep, rich tones and meticulous detailing.
