A superb Victorian mahogany centre table, displaying exceptional craftsmanship and elegance. The plum‑pudding mahogany top is finished with thumb‑moulded edging and a deep frieze, incorporating concealed drawers to both the front and back, each constructed with fine dovetail joints. The table stands on a robust, beautifully carved column which flows into four gracefully swept legs, embellished with C‑scroll motifs and delicate floral carving, all resting on their original casters for ease of movement and added authenticity. As with all genuine antiques, it shows minor age‑related imperfections, yet it remains a solid, beautifully preserved piece with a particularly rich colour and patina.
