The broad, well‑proportioned top has a rich, mellow patina, with a gilt cross pattée neatly inlaid to each corner. The front boasts a series of Gothic arches, each crisply carved and deeply chamfered, with the familiar Communion inscription — “Do this in Remembrance of Me” — beautifully carved and gilded along the upper rail.
