A richly carved Padouk table in excellent antique condition. The top has a wonderfully carved backboard, densely worked with scrolling foliage, flowers and acanthus — carving of impressive depth and precision, characteristic of high‑quality Anglo‑Indian or colonial Padouk work of the late 19th century. The front is fitted with three drawers, each decorated with finely carved floral motifs that echo the ornament of the cresting above. The table stands on two beautifully carved supports, united by a turned stretcher that adds balance and refinement. A striking and decorative piece, showcasing the natural beauty of Padouk and the skill of a master carver — ideal as a hall table, console or statement display piece.
