1 Rosewood Tea Caddy SAI3777
1 Rosewood Tea Caddy SAI3777
This exquisite sarcophagus-shaped tea caddy is a fine example of 19th-century craftsmanship, beautifully fashioned from richly grained rosewood with a warm patina. Raised on bun feet and adorned with brass lion-mask ring handles. The caddy remains in excellent antique condition and retains its original working lock and key. The interior is luxuriously lined with deep blue crushed velvet and fitted with two lidded tea canisters, designed to maintain freshness. Unusually, it also retains its original glass mixing bowl, enhancing both its authenticity and appeal. As with all well-loved antiques, subtle signs of age are present—gentle marks that enrich its character without detracting from its beauty. Whether used as a trinket box or simply admired as a decorative statement, this piece is a rare and elegant addition to any collection.
