Superb brass circular barometer set in a fabulous chinoiserie decorated frame. This barometer was presented to W Craven Llewelyn Esq By the Liberals of Chester Division April 1925. Also engraved in the centre is JD Siddall, Optician, The Cross, Chester. The frame depicts a figure beside a river bank with birds, a house and foliage decoration with gilt edged decoration. Like all antiques there are some imperfections (shown in pictures) however these do not harm the overall look of this fabulous looking barometer.
