Fantastic Victorian oak teapoy with beautifully carved rectangular top with hinged lid. Inside is a pair of lidded compartments with a compartment in the centre for a mixing bowl unfortunately missing however they are easy to pick up should you require one. The box is beautifully carved on all sides and is supported by an amazingly carved column with an oval platform base on bun feet.
This is an exceptional little item in excellent condition with a wonderful patina and amazing colouring that will be a superb addition to any home.
Found inside is an old small newspaper cutting relaying some of the history of teapoys (not this one) that is really interesting
