Victorian Green Glass Decanter with Silver Mounts – Glasgow 1897 SAI3978
Victorian Green Glass Decanter with Silver Mounts – Glasgow 1897 SAI3978
A handsome late Victorian decanter in deep green glass, elegantly proportioned and richly detailed. The wide-bodied form tapers to a slender neck, adorned with a hallmarked silver cuff and topped with a domed silver stopper, both retaining their original lustre. All silver elements are stamped for Glasgow, 1897, and bear the maker’s mark of David & George Edwards, renowned silversmiths of Buchanan Street. Their work is celebrated for its refined execution and quality. A fine example of Scottish craftsmanship, this decanter would make a distinguished addition to any barware collection.
