The scene is richly detailed: tiered temple architecture rising above water, small boats drifting across the foreground, and figures walking among trees and pavilions.

This is a substantial piece with a generous presence — ideal for display on a dresser, hung on a wall, or used as a striking centrepiece. The glaze retains a good depth of colour, and the transfer remains crisp throughout. Expected age‑related wear is present, including small rim chips and surface marks to the underside, all consistent with a well‑loved 19th‑century ironstone charger.
