A large 19th‑century Chinese circular wooden plaque in excellent condition with only wear inline with age. This plaque is richly carved depicting carp, dragons, and traditional architectural motifs. The arrangement is vibrant and full of life: dragons emerging through swirling clouds above, and carp swimming amongst stylised waves below—traditional motifs representing strength, prosperity, and the power of transformation. The carving retains traces of original gilding and red lacquer, giving the piece a warm, time‑softened presence. An impressive decorative panel with strong visual impact and fine craftsmanship.
