Fantastic George III writing bureau on stand made by Muirhead and Moffat on Glasgow (inscribed on the inside of the lock) This quality bureau sits on a stand with four elegant carved legs which terminate in pad feet. The bureau is fitted with 2 brass carry handles for easy transportation. The fall front writing surface rests on two pull out slides which have green baize to protect the wood. The interior is wonderfully rich and fitted with an arrangement of drawers and pigeon holes with two secret drawers concealed behind end drawers. It’s of very high quality and is a great size so doesn't take up much space however offers an ample work area and will look great in that home office.
