A fantastic Scottish Victorian drumhead grandfather clock in beautifully figured mahogany. The clock has an 8‑day movement striking the hour on a bell and is signed by Andrew Thom of Airdrie, a maker listed in Clockmakers & Watchmakers of Scotland (Airdrie, Lanarkshire, 1892–96).

The finely carved drumhead hood sits above a superb mahogany case with a lockable door. The gilt dial features black Roman numerals, a decorative floral centre, and subsidiary seconds and calendar dials.

A wonderful example of late‑Victorian Scottish clockmaking, showing excellent colour, elegant proportions, and strong visual presence. In good working order, with only minor age‑related marks as expected, this impressive clock remains a statement piece of outstanding quality.
