This exquisite Scottish Victorian longcase clock, crafted by J. Wilde of Dundee, showcases superb craftsmanship and timeless elegance. The eight-day movement is housed within a magnificent hood, featuring a swan neck pediment crowned with a central brass finial. Flanking the arched glass door, elegantly turned columns frame a painted clock face, depicting a charming couple beneath a tree, with vibrant spandrels symbolizing the four seasons.
The cream-colored dial, with black Roman numerals, includes two subsidiary dials for seconds and date. Resting upon bracket feet, the case is enveloped in stunning flame mahogany veneers. In superb condition, this distinguished clock embodies Victorian artistry and historical charm.
