Superb quality Georgian Grandfather Clock with an 8-day movement which strikes the hours on a cast bell. The movement having a spectacular ornate brass face, silvered chapter ring with engraved Roman numerals and additional dials for seconds and to silence the chime all having original hands. Attractive blind fret work decorates the broken arch pediment of the hood and reeded columns with gilded brass capitals flank the arched door which opens to allows access for winding. The case is made from very good quality mahogany with a beautiful flame mahogany door which opens to allow you to regulate the pendulum. The overall condition is outstanding and in good working order and comes with its original weights, pendulum, winding key and cabinet key. Like all antiques there are the odd age-related marks but that does not diminish the outstanding quality of a true statement item like this grandfather clock.
