Superb Japanese Tansu cabinet made from richly toned hardwood with a deep, warm patina, in excellent antique condition. Designed in three separate stacking sections for ease of transport. It features an arrangement of sliding panel doors, multiple drawers, and traditional ironwork fittings. The upper and middle tiers each present sliding doors with decorative iron ware open to practical storage compartments. The lower section is fitted with a series of graduated drawers, all retaining their original forged iron handles and lock plates. A striking and authentic example of Japanese craftsmanship, and a wonderfully adaptable piece for contemporary interiors.
