The hooped top rail and arms are supported by finely turned spindles, leading to a beautifully shaped saddle seat that showcases the rich grain and warm tones of the elm. Raised on four turned legs joined by an H stretcher, the chair is structurally sound and stands firm, with no looseness or wobble. Minor imperfections are present, as expected with age, but only serve to enhance the character and patina of this timeless piece. A classic example of vernacular craftsmanship—elegant in its simplicity and full of rustic charm.
