This exceptional Edwardian mahogany cabinet gramophone, by Marr Woods Ltd (Reg No. 674531), is a fine example of early 20th-century audio engineering housed in elegant furniture form. The lower section comprises twin panelled doors opening to fitted record compartments, above which a fall-front panel and hinged top lid reveal the gramophone itself. Set on square tapering legs with spade feet and unified by a shaped apron, the piece is enriched with boxwood string inlay and brass teardrop handles. Presented in excellent working order and supplied with its key and spare needles.
