Edwardian Oak Lebus Sectional Bookcase - SAI4162
Edwardian Oak Lebus Sectional Bookcase - SAI4162
A rare early 20th‑century Lebus double‑width sectional bookcase, complete with its original brass escutcheon stamped “THE LEBUS BOOKCASE.” Formed of six glazed lift‑up sections arranged in two columns, this example retains its original single-piece gallery top — an unusual feature that indicates it was supplied as a complete wide unit rather than two separate stacks.
The bookcase is in excellent order, with all doors running smoothly and retaining their original brass knobs. The timber has a warm, even colour and a well‑preserved patina. A scarce and highly practical piece of English library furniture.
Height = 122.5cm (48.2”)
